THE JOYFUL INTERRUPTER: ISSUE 14
WEZMOMENT
Our Founder, Eddie, was a guest on an awesome podcast all about raising kids called Parenting for the Present. In the episode, Just Because You’re Here, Eddie got to sit down with Dr. Early Denison, Dr. Matthew Housson, and Dr. Andrew Stoker; three fathers whose respective occupations are a pediatrician, a clinical psychologist, and a minister. Each speaking from their backgrounds, the four discuss the impact SEL has on children and some of the driving factors enhancing and encouraging emotional wholeness. Link to listen here.
LOCAL NEWS
Good news for you!
The good news is that vaccinations are on the rise, businesses are opening back up, and life seems to be a bit more inviting. After a year of loneliness that involved changing plans and sacrificing socializing for the greater good, we seem to be moving toward the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s a wonderful time to reflect on what the year has taught you and to be grateful for the little things, even as things begin to resemble life before COVID-19.
MENTAL HEALTH BREAK
Take some time to focus on your mind
As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers. Remember that some of the stormiest days can be the nourishment your emotional soil needs for future growth. Growth is usually uncomfortable and unyielding, but the result is a garden of lessons learned and habits formed. Enjoy the space between where you are now and where you are going.
