BEST BREATHING TRICKS TO REDUCE STRESS
Let’s talk breathwork.
Breathing is one of the quickest ways to send a physiological message to your brain to calm down. With the uncertainty of our world right now, some breathwork tips may be the perfect way to add a little more peace to your day. A couple of ways to practice soothing your mind via the breath is through belly breathing and the 4-7-8 exercise.
The 4-7-8 exercise utilizes the belly breath, but instead of just inhaling and exhaling, you’ll inhale for a count of 4, hold the breath for a count of 7, and then exhale for a count of 8, pushing all the air out of the lungs. Repeat 3-7 times and notice the state of your mind and body after completion.
